Jadon Sancho is a name that has been becoming increasingly more known in the football world, with big teams like Manchester United and Liverpool being strongly linked to the young footballer, writes @DanM2T.
The 19-year-old Englishman was born in London, then moved to Watford when he began his career as a youth player. He went on to sign for Manchester City in 2015, and then signing his first professional contract with Borussia Dortmund in 2017.
Sancho stated his confidence in moving to an entirely new country by citing his previous experiences moving from London, to Watford, to Manchester as a young child.
Before signing for Dortmund, Sancho had impressed the Manchester City Academy staff, and was hailed by Khaldoon Al Mubarak as one third of the young attacking trio set to take the Premier League by storm, as well as being a player named by Pep Guardiola as someone who would make it into the senior squad in no time.
This all fell to pieces, however, when Jadon was omitted from the Manchester City pre-season squad, due to a disagreement about playing time and a new contract.
Eventually, it was reported that Sancho was trying to force a move away from the club. He signed to Dortmund for an estimated fee of £8 million, and joined the first team immediately.
Sancho made his debut on October 21, and became the first English player to appear in a Bundesliga match for Dortmund. Sancho was a vital part of the England U17 team that reached the UEFA European U17 Championship final, despite ultimately losing to Spain on penalties (4-1).
The tricky winger was rewarded for his performances with the UEFA European U17 Golden Player award. So far in this current Bundesliga season, he has scored eight goals and provided 13 assists in 28 appearances.
In the Champions League, he has one goal and as many assists in seven European appearances. His exceptional performances haven’t gone unnoticed, and he has been linked with numerous top European clubs.
Manchester United have become the favourites, although the Dortmund sporting director labelled their interest as "irrelevant".
Teams like Liverpool have been slowly strengthening their efforts to sign the youngster, following his impressive spell in German football.
He has been priced at around £100 million, however Dortmund have repeatedly stated that they have no intention of selling the Englishman this summer, not even for the outlandish price that has been set upon him by various pundits.
With Christian Pulisic leaving in the summer to join Chelsea, it seems unlikely Dortmund would sell another right winger, although crazier things have happened.
