Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has expressed his fear that star striker Harry Kane could be out for the rest of the season, after injuring the same ankle yet again.
It was a historic night for Spurs on Tuesday, with their first ever Champions League game at their new stadium, and their first ever victory - a 1-0 win against Manchester City.
But the injury to Kane was the only sour moment of the night for Spurs fans, after the England captain clashed with his international team-mate, Fabian Delph.
Delph won the ball in a challenge, right next to the dugouts, but the City defender followed through on Kane's ankle.
Kane was out for around two months after suffering an injury to the same ankle in January, and it is feared he could be out for a similar length of time now.
Asked following the game if he fears his top scorer will miss the rest of the season, Pochettino replied: "Yes. We need to check tomorrow but it looks the same, a similar issue.
"I'm very sad, very disappointed, and it's going to be tough for the rest of the season.
"We hope it's not a big issue but there's not much time to recover. He's twisted his ankle and we will see how he reacts in the next few hours."
