Karius wants Liverpool return before end of season

On-loan Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has reportedly asked the Reds to cancel his two-year loan deal at Turkish side Besiktas.

Karius is involved in an ongoing feud with Besiktas over unpaid wages and he was publicly criticised by his manager Senol Gunes last month.

According to Turkish reports, cited in the Liverpool Echo, Karius has asked Liverpool to bring him back to Anfield before the end of the season.

The German goalkeeper joined Besiktas on loan last summer and has made 27 appearances for the side this season.

Karius' season in Liverpool ended terribly last season, with the 'keeper making two blunders in the Reds' 3-1 defeat to Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

Alisson was brought in from AS Roma by Jurgen Klopp to replace the goalkeeper and now Simon Mignolet has also been benched following the Brazilian's tremendous form.
