A late equaliser from substitute Ross Barkley ensured Chelsea's unbeaten record was still alive, in a 2-2 draw with Manchester United.

Antonio Rudiger opened the scoring for the hosts, but two second-half Anthony Martial goals looked as if he'd given United the three points; but Barkley's 96th minute equaliser means the spoils were shared!

Jose Mourinho lost his cool at the end of the game when a Chelsea member of staff celebrated too much for his liking in front of the United dugout.

Chelsea went with a 4-3-3 formation with two changes from their 3-0 win over Southampton before the international break.

Despite Ross Barkley's really impressive performance down on the South Coast, the England international was dropped to the bench, Olivier Giroud joined him.

Mateo Kovacic and Alvaro Morata were looking to capitalise on their inclusions.

Manchester United also made two changes from their dramatic 3-2 win against Newcastle before the international break.

Victor Lindelof replaced Eric Bailly and Juan Mata came into the side to offer United a more attacking threat than Scott McTominay.

The game started off pretty even for the first 20 minutes, with both teams having good spells; without troubling either goalkeeper.

Rudiger gave the Blues the lead 21 minutes in, when some suspect marking from Paul Pogba was capitalised on by the German, who lost the Frenchman and headed past David de Gea.

Poor defending from United, leaving a player as good in the air as Rudiger unmarked with only six yards between him and the goal.

United were struggling to find themselves in the match, with Romelu Lukaku anonymous in the first-half.

The Chelsea midfield trio of Jorginho, Ngolo Kante and Kovacic were very impressive for Maurizio Sarri's team.

It was clear Jose Mourinho had a plan to try and deal with the outstanding Eden Hazard: foul him at all times.

Ashley Young and Nemanja Matic were both booked early on for fouls on the tricky winger.

United have only recorded one clean sheet after the opening nine games of the season. This compared to last season where Mourinho's men already had seven...

The second-half was underway and Chelsea had a good opportunity to double their lead when Morata span Matic but couldn't find the right connection on his shot.

United managed to level proceedings 55 minutes in, after a lengthy attack was eventually finished off by Martial - and it had been coming!

The way the ball fell to Martial was perhaps a tad fortuitous, but the pressure United were putting on, it felt deserved.

Chelsea had a great chance to regain the lead from another set-piece, when an inch-perfect Willian free-kick was met by the head of David Luiz, who could only steer wide.

Things got even better for United as Martial scored again to give the Red Devils the lead at Stamford Bridge!

Marcus Rashford's cross to Martial was controlled excellently and the France international demonstrated his quality and fired it past a helpless Kepa.

Some late Chelsea pressure didn't look as if it was going to amount to much...

But the fourth official indicated SIX minutes of added time and Ross Barkley (second-half substitute) equalised right at the death for Chelsea to keep their unbeaten record in tact!

There were some ugly scenes at the end involved with the staff and the players on the pitch.

A member of Chelsea's staff really triggered Mourinho, who reacted furiously at the celebration and the stewards had to break the scrap up!

What a game!
