LEICESTER PREVIEW: HUDDERSFIELD (H)

Leicester City and Claude Puel will be looking to bounce back from their disappointing defeat on the South Coast last weekend as they take on Huddersfield at the King Power Stadium...

The Foxes went down 4-2 at Bournemouth last time out in a game which saw captain Wes Morgan sent off after two bookings.

It could have been much worse for Puel’s side, who scrambled two consolation goals through James Maddison and Marc Albrighton in the closing stages.

TEAM NEWS:

Due to his sending off last Saturday, Wes Morgan will be unavailable through suspension with Jonny Evans expected to replace him at the centre of defence.

Turkish defender, Caglar Soyuncu, could make his Premier League debut for the club having returned to full fitness with the U23s team.

Matty James remains a doubt following an achilles injury, Puel hinted at a possible return for the midfielder in his press conference, "we will see," the Frenchman said on James.

PUEL'S COMMENTS:

Puel's centre back decision looks to be swayed in Jonny Evans’ direction with some of his comments in his pre-match press conference.

“I think Jonny deserves to play, he is a very experienced player,” Puel hinted.

Regarding Matty James he added; “he is resting after his surgery and we will see, step-by-step, when he will come back.”

When questioned about his tactical approach for Huddersfield, Puel said; “we need to be ready to play with a good tempo, patience but it will be a good challenge."

The boss is under no illusions that the Terriers will give his side a “tough game” on Saturday when the two teams meet a 3pm GMT.

BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION:

The Foxes are odds-on at 8/13 to win the game at Bet365 while Kelechi Iheanacho has the shortest odds as first goal scorer at 3/1.

With Puel’s possession-based style of play, expect a mundane affair as the hosts cruise to a 1-0 or 2-0 win.
