LIVERPOOL PREVIEW: SOUTHAMPTON (H)

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp firmly believes that Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah is still very much a threat, despite now being on his joint-longest goalless run of three games after failing to net against PSG in a 3-2 victory midweek.

Klopp's Reds take on Southampton at home on Saturday afternoon, and will surely be looking to extend their best start to the season in some time.

KLOPP'S COMMENTS:

Speaking on Salah, Klopp said: "It is completely normal for an offensive player when you have times that you don't score. He is still a threat, made fantastic situations in both our last games. He is in good shape."

"Finishing is something you can never take for granted."

Klopp intends to remind Southampton what makes Anfield such a difficult ground to come to.

TEAM NEWS

Klopp says Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino is fit to start this weekend and could be partnered by Daniel Sturridge, who had a fantastic game vs PSG in the week.

Dejan Lovren is still out, but rejoined full-team training this week, Jurgen Klopp praised the medical team in helping him recover from his injuries at the World Cup.

BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION

At the time of writing, SkyBet has Liverpool to win at 1/5, a draw at 11/2 and a Saints win for 12/1. Roberto Firmino to score first is a safe bet at 4/1.

I am fully expecting Liverpool to dominate the proceedings at Anfield, as they have done consistently so far this season. Southampton will need to make every chance they get count.

In my opinion, Southampton are going to have a long afternoon and Liverpool will get a comfortable 3-0 win.
