Real Madrid have now renewed their interest in Manchester City's Raheem Sterling according to Sky Sports News.
However, they also understand that any move for the England international will not be made before the European transfer window, which closes on Friday.
The European champions are said to be monitoring Sterling's form and will send club scouts to the England vs Spain game at Wembley on September the 8th.
The 23-year-old only has a couple of years left on his City contract and is yet to commit his future to the Premier League champions.
Sterling endured his best personal campaign of his short career last season, with 23 goals in 46 appearances in City's record breaking title winning season.
Manchester City are next in action on Saturday, when they host Newcastle United in the evening kick-off.
