Nuno Espírito Santo goes up against his former boss as Wolves look to continue their winning ways at Old Trafford against Mourinho‘s Manchester United...
After two consecutive 1-0 wins and a late Adama Traore winner against West Ham, the newly promoted side are enjoying a strong start to the season that sees them sitting comfortably in 9th position.
SANTO'S COMMENTS:
Speaking about his days at Porto under Mourinho, the Wolves boss said:
“Jose was my manager for two years- what we achieved at Porto will be in our memories forever.”
However, despite admitting that it was an “honour” to be spoke about by Mourinho. Nuno Espírito Santo quickly turned attentions to the weekend stating:
“It’s not about me it’s about Wolves and Manchester United. Tomorrow what we’ll see is two good teams of football trying to achieve the best possible result.”
The Wolves boss will be hoping to inflict yet more misery on an already stuttering, Manchester United on Saturday afternoon.
TEAM NEWS:
Santo is set to name an unchanged side for the sixth consecutive Premier League game. Although, last weeks match winner, Traore, could push for a place on the team sheet.
Otherwise, there are no fresh injury worries for the Wolves boss to consider.
BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION:
Wolves are evidently the underdogs for Saturdays trip to the ‘Theatre of dreams’ at 11/2 whereas Manchester United are favourites at 4/7.
Wolves’ most likely goal scorer is Raul Jimenez at 11/6 odds.
I think that despite their good start, Manchester United will have too much for Wolves, leading to the home side edging the match 2-1.
