MURRAY GOAL ENOUGH FOR SEAGULLS

Brighton came into the game after a 2-0 loss to Manchester City last weekend and were looking to get back to winning ways as they hosted an in-form West Ham.

West Ham had beaten Manchester United last Saturday to continue their brilliant recent form.

The game started at such a high-tempo, end-to-end football and it was the hosts who started the better.

Glenn Murray put the Seagulls 1-0 up 25 minutes in, when Beram Kayal's cross was met by the left foot of Murray.

Murray had his 99th goal for Brighton and his fifth goal of this Premier League campaign.

All of Murray's 17 Premier League goals for the Seagulls have been scored inside the box.

The second-half started and West Ham had a glorious chance to equalise - when Fabian Balbuena headed wide from a matter of yards out.

It was still end-to-end action at the Amex, and neither side could take complete control of the game with Brighton a goal ahead.

Brighton held on for a brilliant 1-0 win against the Hammers, to end their excellent run of form.
