Leicester City and England star Harry Maguire was subject of intense transfer speculation in the summer, surrounding a supposed move to Manchester United...

However, the World Cup star recently signed a new five-year deal with the Foxes that seemingly brings any move to a halt.
It is understood that there is no buy-out clause within his new long-term deal meaning any future approach from Manchester United would likely have to surpass the £60M offered in the summer.
This shows a stance of strength from Leicester city as they were adamant that their “best player” was not for sale at any price. A stance that was firm throughout the transfer window.
The stance was reaffirmed as mananger Claude Puel was certain that there would be no buy-out clause from the outset of negotiations. This ensured their ability to keep hold of their star-man.
Although an obstacle, it was one that Leicester managed to overcome.
This suggests that either, Leicester’s ever-present from last season is going to be a Fox for years to come, or a mammoth bid is set for future transfer windows.
But whatever the outcome it is clear with these new developments that Leicester city hold all of the cards.
