PELLEGRINI PILES EVEN MORE PRESSURE ON MOURINHO

Manchester United's terrible week, on and off the pitch, is rounded off with West Ham United inflicting even more pain on Jose Mourinho and his men, beating them 3-1.

Is it time to go? #MourinGO?

Goals from Felipe Anderson, Andriy Yarmolenko and Marko Arnautovic made Marcus Rashford's clever finish just a consolation.

Mourinho's week has been dominated by questions about Paul Pogba, with the manager stripping the midfielder of vice-captaincy and the videos leaked following the loss to Derby of the two falling out, but the Frenchman did start.

United and Mourinho came with a plan to try and stop the in-form West Ham side but ultimately failed, with Manuel Pellegrini's signings at last kicking into gear.

The game started terribly for the visitors at the London Stadium, when Pablo Zabaleta crossed in for Anderson to smartly flick the ball past David de Gea.

Replays showed that Zabaleta had strayed into an offside position before he crossed for the Brazilian to make it 1-0.

United began to came back in the game, putting some pressure on Lucasz Fabianski's goal but without any real clear-cut chances.

But just before half-time; Pellegrini's men were two in front! Yarmolenko, who has come into excellent form recently - doubled the East London side's advantage.

Yarmolenko was making room to cut in on his left-foot before unleashing a strike that unfortunately for United, deflected off Victor Lindelof and rushed past de Gea.

Questions over the legitimacy of the opener - but none over the Ukrainian's second... Mourinho had a big team-talk on his hands.

The second-half started and Man United were unsurprisingly more attacking, with Lindelof being taken off for Rashford showing clear attacking intent.

Marouane Fellaini came the closest for United early on with a powerful header, but Fabianski saved very well.

Pogba was brought off by Mourinho in the 70th minute and immediately after the substitute Rashford got his side back in the game.

Luke Shaw's corner was whipped into Rashford who, like Anderson in the first-half, flicked it past the 'keeper!

However, the hosts restored their two goal lead straight away after when Arnautovic was found by Mark Noble and fired it past de Gea and it was 3-1.

Poor defending from a very out-of-sorts Man United...

United really struggled to mount any serious pressure on the Irons' goal and the game was seen out from this point, pretty comfortably.

Another poor performance from the Red Devils and any ambitions for a title push this season are surely gone now...
