Another weekend of Premier League action is almost upon us and there are some outstanding fixtures coming up for us.
Andrew Corns is back with his weekly predictions: including Chelsea vs Everton and the Manchester derby!
Cardiff City v. Brighton
After Fulham’s continued spiral to the bottom of the table, Cardiff finally see themselves with an opportunity to move out of the dreaded relegation zone.
Brighton come in with a mixed bag of results having beaten Wolves and then losing convincingly to Everton last week.
Cardiff will work hard to bog the game down, but Brighton should have enough quality to pluck a goal and hold off for the win.
Prediction: 1-0 Brighton

Southampton v. Watford
Southampton return home licking their wounds after the dismantling at Manchester City and welcome a Watford side that has been consistent in their inconsistency lately.
They’re more than talented enough to handily dispatch Southampton, but based on their up and down form, this game might end up being more competitive than it should be.
That said, Watford will rebound from their defeat at Newcastle and return to winning ways.
Prediction: 2-1 Watford

Leicester City v. Burnley
Leicester return home for the first time since the tragic passing of their owner in what will be an emotional day for supporters and players alike.
Burnley’s once highly regarded defence has conceded thirteen goals in the last three matches and the magic seems to have worn from Sean Dyche.
Their defence is in shambles and Leicester ride a wave of emotional energy to collect three more points.
Prediction: 2-0 Leicester City

Huddersfield Town v. West Ham United
Fresh off their first victory of the season, Huddersfield return home to battle West Ham United.
The Hammers’ attack is starting to hit their stride and with Huddersfield lacking much going forward, they’ll find it difficult to keep pace after going behind early.
West Ham will control large stretches of the game and brush aside David Wagner’s men in a one-sided affair.
Prediction: 3-1 West Ham

Newcastle United v. Bournemouth
A Newcastle win at home over Watford saw them move up and out of the relegation zone for at least one week.
Bournemouth travel to St. James Park having outplayed Manchester United to start their previous match only to wither as the game went on and walk away with nothing to show for their efforts.
Callum Wilson and their attacking threat will help them rebound and earn the tough road victory.
Prediction: 2-0 Bournemouth

Crystal Palace v. Tottenham
Tottenham had Wolves put away early last week only to allow complacency to creep in and cause the game to be much harder to put to bed than it should have been.
They won’t travel far to Crystal Palace and face a side dangerously close to being deep in a relegation fight if other results don’t go in their favour.
Palace haven’t given me any reason to believe they can even scrape a draw against the league’s best sides so expect Spurs to control the pace and possession on their way to the win.
Prediction: 2-0 Tottenham

Liverpool v. Fulham
Liverpool enter Sunday’s match at home against Fulham with their disappointing trip to Serbia fresh on their minds.
Jurgen Klopp will warn his side that they have to up their game dramatically if they intend to keep pace with Chelsea and Manchester City in the title race.
Fulham have been the league’s most disappointing team and literally hit rock bottom after falling victim to Huddersfield on Monday.
A motivated Liverpool carve through Fulham’s poor defence and will look to help improve their goal differential should the tiebreak come into play at the end of the season.
I expect Xherdan Shaqiri to start and be the standout man with a goal and an assist.
Prediction: 4-0 Liverpool

Chelsea v. Everton
Chelsea will hope to maintain pace with Manchester City or potentially rise above them for first in the table depending on how the Manchester derby ends.
They welcome and Everton team coming off a good win last week against Brighton. I expect Everton to offer a stern test for the Blues, but they’ll ultimately struggle to keep up with the amount of goals Chelsea are capable of scoring.
This might be a wild, back and forth game with Chelsea just narrowly grabbing the win.
Prediction: 3-2 Chelsea

Manchester City v. Manchester United
The Manchester derby highlights the weekend’s action as we get to witness the next chapter in the rivalry between both the clubs and their respective managers.
Jose Mourinho seems to have steered the ship out of treacherous water and results have improved in recent weeks.
Their comeback win against Juventus on Wednesday should give them confidence that they can go into this match and earn a result.
Manchester City enter in a purple patch of form, scoring goals with terrifying ease and looking like the best team in Europe.
I firmly believe Pep will have his side wary of last year’s shock result in this same fixture.
They won’t make the same mistake of taking their foot off the gas once they’ve gone ahead and can control the flow of the game.
United will start the match bunkered in, hoping to weather an early storm before catching City on the break.
The problem with that approach is Manchester City are too strong and clinical in their finishing. They win comfortably in the end.
Prediction: 3-1 Manchester City

Arsenal v. Wolverhampton
Arsenal find themselves in a rich vein of form and proved they’re after outplaying Liverpool last week.
They play host to a Wolves team who continue to exceed expectations and fought valiantly to almost earn a point against Spurs previously.
Arsenal’s undefeated run must come to an end sometime and even though this game will get tricky with the Gunners potentially falling behind, each team will earn a point in an entertaining match for neutrals.
Prediction: 2-2 Draw
