Premier League Preview: Matchday 31

The Premier League is on its way back to our television screens! It's crunch-time now! Down to the last stage of the season. It's all to play for at both ends of the table... and the middle!

West Ham vs Huddersfield - Saturday (15:00)

West Ham United host the all-but-relegated Huddersfield Town on Saturday afternoon - with, on paper, it looking like an easy game for the Hammers.

The Terriers are rock-bottom of the Premier League and confirmation of relegation is surely only a couple of matches away now.

But the Irons aren't in great form themselves. Not quite as bad as Huddersfield's form! But Manuel Pellegrini's side have only two wins from their last five league games.

However, the visitors will go to the London Stadium and face an attack, on its day, capable of unlocking any Premier League defence - yet alone Huddersfield's.

Burnley vs Leicester City - Saturday (15:00)

Burnley welcome Leicester City to Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon - with the home side looking to confirm their status in the Premier League for next season.

It's a huge match for the Clarets, who were unlucky last time out at Anfield, who sit just two points above Cardiff City in the relegation zone.

Leicester picked up their first win under Brendan Rodgers last weekend - as they survived a slight scare to beat the weak Fulham.

Rodgers knows from his time at Liverpool, that Turf Moor can be a difficult place to go when the Clarets are on it, and it'll be a difficult game for the Foxes against a desperate Burnley side.

Bournemouth vs Newcastle United - Saturday (15:00)

Bournemouth and Newcastle United lock horns on Saturday, with both teams virtually safe for next season now.

But Eddie Howe and Rafa Benitez won't see it like that! They'll be desperate for their respective sides to confirm their Premier League status for the 2019/20 campaign.

The Cherries won their first game in a while to end their terrible drought, as they comfortably won at Huddersfield.

Newcastle have been great recently - but most of their points have come at St. James' Park - they face a tough trip to the Vitality Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Fulham vs Liverpool - Sunday (14:15)

Fulham, who look all-but-set for life in the Championship next season, host title-chasing Liverpool at Craven Cottage.

The Reds have the chance to go above Manchester City; who don't play this weekend due to FA Cup commitments.

The Cottagers will be determined to show their fans at least one huge win at Craven Cottage this season.

But Liverpool's attack, despite playing in the Champions League in midweek, should have too much for a very frail Fulham back-line.

Everton vs Chelsea - Sunday (16:30)

Everton will be looking to escape from their miserable spell of form, but face a difficult task as they host an in-form Chelsea side on Sunday evening.

The Toffees have won just once in their last five games, drawing one and losing three - including last week's disappointing defeat against Newcastle.

Chelsea, however, have won three of their last five, but will be looking to bounce back from last weekend, where they were held by Wolves at Stamford Bridge.

These sides met in November of last year at Stamford Bridge and a fine performance from Jordan Pickford meant the score stayed goalless.
