PREVIEW: Chelsea vs West Ham

Chelsea take on West Ham United in an all-London derby on Monday night, hoping to take advantage of Arsenal's slip-up on Sunday.

If the Blues avoid defeat at Stamford Bridge, it will see them climb into the top-four places, but have a tough test in the Hammers.

Chelsea won comfortably in midweek against Brighton, whilst West Ham had the midweek off to prepare for Monday night's clash.

These teams met earlier in the season, with the Irons earning themselves a point in a goalless stalemate at the London Stadium.

TEAM NEWS

Chelsea winger Callum Hudson-Odoi could make successive Premier League starts for the first time after impressing against Brighton in midweek.

Marcos Alonso and Pedro are both injury doubts for the Blues. But Gonzalo Higuain, Willian and Ross Barkley could all feature after being rested on Wednesday evening.

Felipe Anderson is in-line to make his first appearance in the league for West Ham since mid-March following an ankle issue.

Samir Nasri and Ryan Fredericks are both available for selection again following respective injuries.

THE MANAGERS

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has insisted his team do not need to win this game to keep their top-four hopes alive.

The Blues are on 63 points in fifth - level with fourth-place Arsenal - knowing a point will see them move above their London rivals, and they could even move third with a win.

"No, because I think the last part of the season will be very difficult for every team," the Italian coach said.

"We have only to fight and to think about our matches, and then I think we have to fight until the last minutes of the last match.
"But without looking at the other results, I think."

West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini has insisted Marko Arnautovic's loss of form happens to the best of players.

Pellegrini is not concerned about the Austria striker's stale patch in front of goal, despite Arnautovic trying to force a move to China in January.

"The fans are not happy, me, Marko is not happy, but this happens to some players in a moment of the season when they are not in their best moment," Pellegrini said.

"Talking with Marko, he wants to do things better. He is absolutely involved with our team, what happened with China is now over and finished.
"If anyone thinks that Marko doesn't want to be here at West Ham, they are wrong. Marko is absolutely involved, mentally and physically."
