Manchester City have a great chance to move back above Liverpool to the top of the Premier League, as they welcome struggling Cardiff City to the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.
Liverpool reclaimed top spot in the division, following their late 2-1 win against Tottenham on Sunday.
Cardiff, meanwhile, are sat down in 18th-place - five points adrift of Burnley, who are in 18th.
The Bluebirds were seriously unlucky on Sunday afternoon, after a string of refereeing decisions went against them in the Welsh capital in a 2-1 loss to Chelsea.
TEAM NEWS
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has been ruled out of the match through an injury he picked up in the win against Fulham on Saturday.
Vincent Kompany is available for the reigning champions following a month out on the sidelines.
Cardiff full-back Jazz Richards hasn't started a Premier League match all season, but is in contention to after returning to full-training this week.
Sol Bamba and Callum Paterson are both long-term absentees for the Bluebirds.
THE MANAGERS
Man City boss Pep Guardiola has insisted the "pressure" on his side to win against Cardiff in midweek will not be an issue.
This is City's game-in-hand on rivals Liverpool and anything but a win would hand the incentive back to the Reds in the title race.
"It will not be a problem," Guardiola said. "We know what we are going to play for. Every game is a final.
"Cardiff what I saw against Chelsea is alive. They have incredible spirit. It is not a team that is already done. It is there but we want to be there too."
Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock doubts any of his players would get into either two of City's best teams.
Warnock believes the reigning champions and the second-place team in the league have taken the division to "another level" over the past two seasons.
"We've got to do our best in the game," Warnock insisted. "I doubt any of our squad could get in either two of their first teams.
"They've taken the Premier League to another level. And you're not only putting your wits against the very best - possibly in Europe - but it's the highest odds in a game this season; 40/1 in a two-horse race.
"The bookies say they have never seen betting like it."
