Tottenham Hotspur will play their first ever match at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, with the long wait finally ending as they welcome London rivals Crystal Palace on Wednesday night.
The stadium has faced many delays this season, leaving Spurs without a permanent home and being forced to play their home games at Wembley.
But Palace are in town - and Spurs have the chance to entertain their fans in their brand-new stadium.
TEAM NEWS
Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks is back available for selection after almost a month on the sidelines with a groin injury.
However, fellow midfielder Eric Dier is absent due to a hip complaint yet again on Wednesday night.
Serge Aurier and Erik Lamela will also miss out in the club's first competitive game in their new stadium.
Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho, who is making a long recovery from knee surgery, is the only absence from the Palace squad.
THE MANAGERS
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino described Wednesday night as "an exciting moment in the history of the club".
Pochettino continued to say that Spurs must qualify for the Champions League yet again this season, especially with their new stadium.
"The new stadium is a reality," Pochettino said. "It's an exciting moment in the history of the club. Everyone is going to realise the magnitude of the project.
"The best stadium in the world must play in the UEFA Champions League.
"It will be a shame not to be in the next Champions League. We are going to fight. I have no doubt we will be in the Champions League next season. We have seven games left, five here, and that has to give us a boost."
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson believes the trip to North London on Wednesday comes with extra pressure due to the new stadium being ready.
Hodgson has also stated his team know they have to make their own mark in a historic night of Premier League football.
"The stadium being so well received by everybody does add pressure," Hodgson admitted in his pre-Tottenham press conference on Tuesday.
"I'd be surprised if Pochettino is not saying the same as any manager - all games bring pressure. We're looking to make a mark ourselves."
