Chelsea will be looking to make it 6 from 6 and continue their 100% record in the Premier League this season on Saturday as they travel across London to face West Ham United.
The Blues travelled 1.605 miles in the week to Thessaloniki in Greece where they beat PAOK 1-0, and it wasn’t too much of a weakened side.
Despite the chance of Chelsea being tired, West Ham manager Manuel Pellegrini doesn’t think it’ll make his side’s chances of winning the match much better:
"It's impossible to start better than Chelsea have. They've won five games, but every game is different. We must be confident at home. We will try to do the same as the last game. We have to concentrate defensively, but I am confident."
West Ham have always struck up good form just in time for when they face Chelsea, and this has continued this season after they won 3-1 against Everton at Goodison Park last weekend.
Despite not having a great record recently at West Ham, Chelsea can take courage from the fact that they have won five of their past six away league games, losing only at Newcastle on the last day of the last league season.
The Blues have won just two of their last seven games against the Hammers, and West Ham manager Pellegrini knows how much this game means to the fans:
"It's a derby, which has a bit more importance. I know in London there are a lot of them with different teams. We have our first one with Chelsea, who are top of the table, which is big motivation."
BETTING ODDS/PREDICTION:
In terms of betting, Chelsea are the favourites at 8/13, with a draw at 16/5 and a home win at 4/1.
Eden Hazard to score and Chelsea to win is at 13/8, whilst Javier Hernandez, who is notoriously potent against Chelsea, to score any time is at 9/5.
