Newly appointed AS Roma boss Claudio Ranieri is determined to sign his former midfielder Danny Drinkwater from Chelsea.
Ranieri was recently appointed manager of the Italian side, just days after being relieved of his duties as head coach of Fulham.

Drinkwater is out-of-favour at Stamford Bridge, with a summer move for the English midfielder almost inevitable.
With the likes of Jorginho, Mateo Kovacic, N'Golo Kante, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Ross Barkley all above him in the pecking order - his future in London looks bleak, to say the least.
The 29-year-old was part of the Leicester City squad, managed by Ranieri, that miraculously won the Premier League in the 2015/16 season.
Italian publication, Calciomercato report that Drinkwater has been eyed as a potential back-up/replacement to the ageing Daniele De Rossi.
