Chelsea cruised to victory after being Brighton & Hove Albion at Stamford Bridge on Wednesday night.
Goals from Olivier Giroud, Eden Hazard and Ruben Loftus-Cheek secured a victory for the under-fire Maurizio Sarri at the Bridge.
Callum Hudson-Odoi started his first ever Premier League match for the Blues, and set up Giroud for the opening goal of the game.
Chelsea are level on points with Arsenal, but remain fifth, and the Gunners have a game in-hand on their London rivals.
Hudson-Odoi looked bright in the early moments of his maiden league start for the Blues - having the first attempt of the match, but it was deflected over the crossbar.
The match was rather slow in the first-half, but Chelsea finally broke the deadlock in the 38th minute.
Giroud was the man at the near post and in typical Giroud-style, the French striker poked Hudson Odoi's low cross into the back of the net.
On 56 minutes, Jorginho picked out a very clever ball to Hudson-Odoi, but the youngster's header was saved by Mat Ryan.
It was soon 2-0 to Sarri's team, when Hazard turned cutely on the edge of the box, and some nice footwork enabled the space to fire past Ryan and double Chelsea's advantage.
Then just three minutes later, Hazard turned provider, finding Loftus-Cheek, who curled a peach of a finesse shot into the top corner from outside the box.
It was two goals in as many games for the young England midfielder - who was rapidly turning into one of Chelsea's most influential players.
The Blues were in a comfortable position and a position that allowed them to see out the match, with the Seagulls hopeless at the Bridge.
