Liverpool scored two goals in quick succession against Chelsea - including a wonderful long-range screamer from Mohamed Salah - to move back to the top of the Premier League.
Salah's strike from 30 yards against his former club came immediately after Sadio Mane headed Liverpool into a second-half lead at Anfield.
The Reds have now climbed back to the top of the Premier League table, a point above Manchester City, who also won earlier on Sunday.
Chelsea, who were excellent in the first-half, but ultimately failed to keep Liverpool out in the second-half. The Blues stay in fourth despite the loss.
The first-half was one of few chances, with Maurizio Sarri's game-plan seemingly working to keep the home side's attack out.
Salah had an early chance for the Reds after he was found by Mane on the left-hand side, but the Egyptian's volley was too close to Kepa.
Chelsea were defending well, and they were also posing a threat on the break, with Eden Hazard, Willian and Callum Hudson-Odoi all speedy.
Willian had Chelsea's best opportunity of the first-half; with the Brazilian's shot going comfortably wide of Alisson's post.
Jurgen Klopp had a big half-time team talk for Liverpool - who were keen to avoid a repeat of what happened in this same fixture five years ago.
Jordan Henderson, who was playing in a more advanced position for the Reds, provided a delightful chipped cross to Mane at the back-post and the winger headed home.
Anfield erupted - there was a sense of relief - after Chelsea kept Liverpool out in the first-half with far too much ease.
Virgil van Dijk's lofted pass found Salah's feet a couple of moments later, and the winger touched the ball down before running inside and arrowing a left-footed strike into the top left corner.
Kepa stood no chance and for Salah - it was a huge goal - with the forward often being criticised for not showing up in the so called "bigger" matches.
For Liverpool, it was an even bigger goal. They knew if they could just hold on for the remainder of the match - they'd move back to the top of the league.
The hosts did struggle to do just that, when Hazard had two glorious opportunities to cut the deficit back down.
The first, he controlled brilliantly, and smashed a side-footed effort onto the post. The second, Willian's cross found him and he half-volleyed it and forced a good save from Alisson.
But Liverpool did hold out for the rest of the game, and the only negative from today's performance would've been Henderson going off with an injury late on.
