Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri has played down his team's title chances this season, by claiming Liverpool are "one step ahead" of the Blues despite two positive results in a week against the Reds.

Sarri's men went to Anfield on Wednesday night and won 2-1 in the Carabao Cup and Saturday evening saw the two take part in a fascinating 1-1 draw at Stamford Bridge.
Prior to the game, Sarri claimed Liverpool "are ready to win the Premier League" and the draw didn't change the Italian's view.
"No, I think they are a step forward but I think also that we are closer than I thought one week ago," Sarri told Sky Sports after the 1-1 draw.
"The first two places, as you know, for me, is going to be very difficult because Manchester City and Liverpool are a step forward on us. So it is very difficult. But I think we can fight for the Champions League.
"I am disappointed because they scored in the last two minutes but in the end I am really very happy, first of all with the performance and I think also that the draw may be the right result. The match was wonderful."
Chelsea are now in third place, with Liverpool a place ahead of them - joint on points with leaders Manchester City, who won 2-0 against Brighton on Saturday afternoon.
