The Premier League never fails to disappoint, with yet another matchday full of drama occurring today!
LEICESTER 1-2 LIVERPOOL:
The day started at the King Power and it was Leicester hosting top of the table Liverpool in the lunchtime kick-off.
Liverpool raced to an early 1-0 lead in Leicester as Sadio Mane carried on his brilliant early-season form to score, following some excellent play from Andy Robertson.
Roberto Firmino doubled the Reds' lead right on the half-time whistle, heading in from a James Milner corner - against the run of play.
Leicester were back in the game in the second-half when Alisson made a huge error allowing Kelechi Iheanacho to tackle the Brazilian and set up Rachid Ghezzal for an open goal. But the Reds held on and stay top of the table.
CHELSEA 2-0 BOURNEMOUTH:
Chelsea hosted Bournemouth, seeing the Liverpool result - the Blues knew they had to keep the pressure on the Merseysiders with the international break looming.
That they did, but they were made to work for it by an in-form Cherries - Pedro had to wait until late in the second-half to put the hosts a goal up.
Eden Hazard sealed the win for Maurizio Sarri's men, who maintain their 100% start to the season.
WEST HAM 0-1 WOLVES:
West Ham hosted Wolves with Mauricio Pellegrini desperate for his first win with the Hammers, but it wasn't the day for the home side.
A frustrating game for the Irons with them failing to find the net at the London Stadium and their frustration turned to anger when Adama Traore's last minute winner ensured the visitors got their first win of the season.
EVERTON 1-1 HUDDERSFIELD
Everton endured a frustrating afternoon at Goodison Park, when Huddersfield traveled down to Liverpool to put in a solid performance in a 1-1 draw.
It was the visitors who took the lead through Philip Billing, who put the Terriers in the lead for the first time this season - 34 minutes in.
However, the lead didn't last long whatsoever as Dominic Calvert-Lewin equalled the score for the Toffees.
Despite second-half pressure from the hosts, they couldn't break through a stern Huddersfield defence.
CRYSTAL PALACE 0-2 SOUTHAMPTON:
Southampton carried on their momentum from midweek as they beat Crystal Palace by two goals to nil after a fine performance from Mark Hughes' men.
Danny Ings bagged his second goal for the Saints since his loan move from Liverpool and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg doubled the visitors' lead just before the full-time whistle.
Roy Hodgson's side will be very annoyed to not score against a team they should be getting three points again.
BRIGHTON 2-2 FULHAM:
A second-half fightback from the hosts ensured the points were shared between the two sides at the Amex.
Pascal Gross missed a first-half penalty and Brighton were made to pay for it when Andre Schurrle put the visitors in front.
Aleksandar Mitrovic's solo goal doubled Fulham's lead in the second-half to carry on his brilliant start to the season.
However, the Seagulls produced an amazing second-half comeback largely thanks to their striker Glenn Murray, who bagged himself a brace.
MANCHESTER CITY 2-1 NEWCASTLE
The champions bounced back from last weekend's draw with Wolves, by edging Newcastle United by two goals to one.
Raheem Sterling put the Citizens ahead, but not too long after, DeAndre Yedlin equalised for the struggling Magpies.
Right-back Kyle Walker scored a screamer for his first goal of the season and the definitive goal in the game.
