Manchester United defender Luke Shaw has admitted that his team were "horrendous" during their 3-1 loss to West Ham, but believes the players are the ones to blame.

Pressure has grown massively on an already criticised Jose Mourinho following consecutive defeats to Derby County and West Ham; not to mention a fallout with his star player - Paul Pogba.
This has been United's joint worst start in 28 years with only ten points to their name and a minus goal difference.
Shaw was arguably at fault for the first goal scored by Felipe Anderson, and the left-back, who has started the season well for United, admitted that his team-mates and himself were at fault for the humiliation.
"If you want the truth I think it was honestly horrendous," Shaw honestly told the Guardian.
"We didn't look like a team that was going to beat West Ham. I think individually and as a team we were awful.
"That's not good enough. It's hard to take and we're sorry to the fans for what they saw. It was not good enough from a Man United team with all the talent we have."
Shaw believes there was a lack of desire and determination from his team and that's ultimately the reason they failed to get anything in London.
"From the first minute you could see we weren't winning the second balls and our duels. It's hard to take," Shaw added.
"It just wasn't good enough from us. That shouldn't be happening. Games like this we should be dominating, creating chances, showing people why we deserve to play for Man United and that didn't happen. It was very poor from us. Very, very poor."
The England international was then asked to go into detail about what Mourinho said to them after the game.
"We didn't speak too much," Shaw revealed. "Obviously at half-time there were a few words and I think it was needed.
"Obviously at half-time there were a few words and I think it was needed. It was a wake-up and words that he's said before - we need to be moving, we need to concentrate more, we need to want the ball, we need to be playing.
"That didn't happen. It's disappointing and a very, very bad day for us."
