Yaya Toure's agent has confirmed that the Ivorian has passed a medical in London but will not yet reveal which team Toure will be signing for.
Toure's deal at Manchester City expired earlier in the summer and the champions chose not to renew the ageing midfielder's deal.
The three-time Premier League winner is yet to announce the club he will be moving to on a free - however, his agent was giving hints out on Twitter about his client's future.
There has been rumours that Toure may link up with his former City boss Manuel Pellegrini, who has recently been appointed as West Ham United manager.
But Dimitry Seluk was very quick to rubbish those rumours on Twitter.
Crystal Palace also looked like a likely destination for the former Barcelona midfielder, but again Seluk said: "It's not Crystal Palace, 100%."
Seluk told Sky Sports News back in May, that his client was keen to stay in the Premier League and would take a massive pay-cut to do so.
"Yaya is fit and desperate to prove he's still the best central midfielder in the Premier League," Toure's agent said.
"Ivory Coast will not be in Russia for the World Cup and next season he will be fit, rested and stronger than ever.
"He's happy to accept a one-year deal to stay in England. And if the club are not satisfied with his performances, he will pay back half the wages, or the club can cancel his contract immediately, with no compensation."
