Greek authorities have revealed that two Chelsea fans have been attacked in the build-up to their Europa League match at PAOK...
The police say that the two men were assaulted by three citizens in central Thessaloniki on Thursday morning.
The men declined the opportunity to be taken to hospital.
The three men who attacked the Chelsea fans fled the scene and the victims said that they did not wish to press charges on their attackers.
Chelsea had advised fans not to attend the match due to advice they received from Greek police.
A club statement read: "We are grateful to the Greek authorities for making us aware of their stipulations well in advance of the game but we strongly advise that this match will not be appropriate for all of our supporters to attend."
