Everton picked up three points for the first time in over two months at Goodison Park, as they dented Chelsea's ambitions of getting in this season's top four.
Richarlison opened the scoring for the Toffees, with Gylfi Sigurdsson killing off the clash with less than 20 minutes remaining.
The loss for Chelsea means they miss a chance to move level with Arsenal - who currently occupy fourth-place.
Whereas Everton have now leapfrogged Bournemouth into 11th, after finally ending their drought at Goodison.
