WATFORD PREVIEW: FULHAM (A)

Watford will look to bounce back to winning ways following last weekend's 2-1 loss to Manchester United that ended their perfect start to the Premier League season.

The Hornets travel to London to face a Fulham side, who are in huge need for some points in the Premier League's early kick-off this weekend.

TEAM NEWS:

Gerard Deulofeu won't quite be ready to make his first appearance of the season, as the winger is expected to return to full-training next week, following a foot problem.

"Gerard is training but not with the team," Watford boss Javi Gracia said about his fellow countryman.

"I think after one test on Saturday, we'll see if it is possible the next week (for him) to train with us. At this moment, he's not ready."

Abdoulaye Doucoure has played in every game so far for Watford and Gracia had special mention for his midfielder.

"Doucoure only needs to score one goal or two goals to confirm all the work he is doing because he is playing very well, working a lot," Gracia said about Doucoure.

"In the second-half (vs United), he covered long distances, he creates many chances and he pushed the team. He played really well. He's keeping a very good level and if he scores in the next game, he will get more recognition."

GRACIA'S COMMENTS:

There have been calls from some fans for Troy Deeney's impressive form to be recognised at an international level and for England manager Gareth Southgate to give the Hornet a run in the squad.

"It's not my decision," admitted Gracia. "I think the national team coach tries to choose the best players for them. I think the English players we have are good options and we are waiting for the moment they choose them.

"We will be very proud of them if they go with the national team. But playing for the national team is not my decision and I respect the national team coach."

BETTING ODDS/PREDICTIONS:

Watford are the underdogs (15/8 - Bet 365) going into this one, which perhaps is surprising to some considering the Hornet's league position and start to the season.

The captain, Deeney is 6/1 to be the first scorer at Craven Cottage, which is Watford's most probable first goalscorer according to Bet 365.

My prediction for this game is Watford to return to winning ways again; I think the players they have at their disposal will prove too much for a Fulham side who are still adapting to life in the top flight.
