WEST HAM INTERESTED IN GARY CAHILL

The Mirror report that Manuel Pellegrini has identified the out-of-favour Chelsea defender as a perfect option as he looks to solidify the Hammers' defence.

West Ham are currently trialling the central defensive partnership between Issa Diop and Fabian Balbuena, both of them signing in the summer.

Despite the pair impressing in the recent weeks, Pellegrini is still eager to bolster his defensive options, and the 32-year-old is the latest name to be linked.

Maurizio Sarri doesn't seem to have the former England international in his plans anymore with David Luiz and Antonio Rudiger both being preferred.

Galatasaray have also been rumoured to be wanting Cahill - but they now face competition from the Irons.
