West Ham United have made an approach to sign St. Etienne and former Sunderland midfielder Yann M'Vila in the summer.
L'Equipe report that the Hammers have contacted the French team over a potential deal for their midfielder in the next window.
However, the same report suggests that M'Vila is happy in France, and is yet to make a decision on his future.
M'Vila has been a regular starter for St Etienne this season in Ligue 1 and has impressed in the centre of midfielder, after arriving from Rubin Kazan.
During M'Vila's time with League 1 club Sunderland, he made 37 Premier League appearances whilst on loan at the Stadium of Light.
M'Vila has represented France at U16, U17, U18, U19, U21 and senior level - making 22 caps for the national team - scoring just the one goal.
