Manuel Pellegrini’s West Ham host Chelsea in a promising London derby, where the Hammers seek to conquer their second victory in the league.
The Irons, who finished in 13th place last season, have spent £75 million in transfer fees for this new season - but have struggled to adapt to life under Pellegrini so far.
However, the Chilean got his first win in charge of the East London side last weekend as they impressed on Merseyside - beating Everton 3-1.
PELLEGRINI'S COMMENTS:
Pellegrini is certain that Ukrainian winger, Andriy Yarmolenko has hit form, following his brace at Everton last week.
The Chilean's initial comment was that “it would take him a few weeks to get used to the Premier League".
"This performance showed he is a top player," Pellergini explained in his pre-Chelsea press conference.
Pellegrini expressed his uncertainty over Marko Arnautovic's fitness for this weekend's huge game.
"He has had some treatment and we will see if he's fit," Pellergini said on his Austrian winger.
"He played very well at Everton (scoring one goal) and we hope he will be recovered for the next game."
The manager also took the chance to heap praise on the 19-year-old midfielder, Declan Rice on his performance last Sunday due to Jack Wilshere's unavailability.
“Declan did very well last time out, as did Pedro Obiang," the West Ham boss said. "I repeat again, we have a squad and we need all the players at different moments in the season."
TEAM NEWS:
Striker Javier Hernandez is unavailable for the Chelsea game, with the Mexican international suffering with a virus.
