WOLVES 0-2 HUDDERSFIELD: REPORT

An Aaron Mooy double for Huddersfield Town ensured a crucial victory in their relegation battle against Wolves at Molineux.

Mooy's double means that Huddersfield have climbed six places in the Premier League table to 14th, with their fifth win at Molineux in their last six games there.

Erik Durm powered past Matt Doherty on six minutes before delivering to Mooy, who finished well into the corner for an early lead for the Terriers.

Huddersfield were looking bright in the opening stages, and Steve Mounie and Terence Kongolo both had good chances but couldn't finish.

Adama Traore was brought on for Wolves after the break and his impact was clear to see with his speed and power. His cross for Raul Jiminez was cleared off the line somehow by Philip Billing.

Huddersfield were looking vulnerable but some more Mooy Magic - this time from a free-kick sent the Terriers' fans into ecstasy.

Excellent free-kick from the impressive Mooy, who ensured Huddersfield have recorded seven points from their last three league matches.

THE MANAGERS -

Nuno Espirito Santo: "It was a bad performance. We played badly today and Huddersfield were the better team. It was not a good day for us and we didn't perform well.

"There were too many mistakes and there are things we have to improve. This week we have to make a deep reflection on what we want and how we want to play."

David Wagner: "We know we are not as poor as maybe everybody thinks we are. We have shown good performances this season so far without enough goals and enough points but performance wise, this was more often very good.

"Today, the players got the reward and I'm so happy for them because they really deserve it. Apart from the two goals, we have another clean sheet which was important and we look very solid defensively as well."
