TEAM NEWS
Wolves midfielder Ruben Neves will serve a one-match suspension after accumulating five yellow cards already this season.
This could be good for Morgan Gibbs-White, who is set to replace Neves to start his first Premier League match.
Chelsea pair Marcos Alonso and Mateo Kovacic will be assessed, due to back and ankle injuries respectively.
Alvaro Morata, Ross Barkley and Ruben Loftus-Cheek could all come back into the starting line-up for Chelsea.
THE MANAGERS
Wolves head coach Nuno Espirito Santo has played down his side's recent poor run of form and has insisted it happens to every team.
"A team is like a player; it has its ups and downs. You have to find solutions and give them good advice and work with them.
"It doesn't have to do with confidence, it has to do with so many aspects of the game - technical, tactical, mental - and we have to solve it.
"We have had a block of games with mistakes, from a team which is still growing. When the results don't come, what is important is how you approach the system."
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri is expecting a "very difficult" match against Wolves, despite the hosts' poor run of form.
"I expect a very difficult match because they are a very technical team.
"They have a lot of players who are very technical. So they were unlucky in the last few matches, I think, but it's not really very easy to play there."
MATCH STATS
Chelsea have won the last four meetings between these two teams in all competitions.
Wolves were only beaten once in their first eight league matches this season; but they have lost five out of their last six matches in the Premier League.
If Chelsea keep a clean sheet on Wednesday evening; it will be the first time they've kept consecutive clean sheets under Maurizio Sarri.
