ree

Wolves host Tottenham’s side at the Molineux Stadium on Saturday evening, who come fresh out of their 3-1 win over West Ham for the EFL Cup.

Wolves currently hold 10th place in the Premier League, with a total of 15 points after having recently lost 1-0 to Brighton at the Amex last weekend.

On the other hand, Spurs are five places above Wolves in fifth place, with six points more than their opponents.

TEAM NEWS:

For Mauricio Pochettino’s side there are currently four players confirmed who will be out: Victor Wanyama, Jan Vertonghen, Danny Rose and Eric Dier.

Vertonghen has gone through hamstring surgery and is therefore continuing with rehabilitation.

Dier remains out due to a thigh problem, and his team-mate Rose is unlikely to return before the international break.

Wanyama is unavailable for this weekend’s clash due to an injury picked up to his left-knee on Wednesday against West Ham.

THE MANAGERS:

Wolves manager Espirito Santo acknowledged the level of team they will be facing on Saturday evening.

“Tottenham are very competitive. What I admire is what I see on the pitch and I see a very good team," the Wolves boss said.

“I know him (Pochettino) and I admire him. The quality of work they’ve been doing is amazing. The core of the squad, the amount of success they have had."

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted that he's still got confidence in his Spurs side despite some recent criticism from Sky Sports pundits.

"We are working tomorrow to win games but if you are not preparing the team or the squad or planning for future and after you spend four and a half years here like me, you will fail," Pochettino said.
